Top 5 Quirkiest Cafes and Bars Around the World

📍1. The Attendant ( Victorian public toilet turned coffee shop)

The Attendant is a secret coffee shop inside a renovated Victorian public toilet. They’ve kept many of the original ceramic features, like the urinals (The original Doulton & Co porcelain urinals have been transformed into a quirky seating area). The entrance, marked by an iron structure with their sign, leads to the café. It was originally built in the late 19th century and closed in the 1960s. The Attendant has other locations in London, but only the Fitzrovia one has the urinals.

2. Black Casket Cafe (Goth’ holy water)

Step into a world cloaked in darkness, where the décor exudes an aura of mystique, with shelves laden with books, eerie artifacts, and glistening jewels. Filled with creepy dolls and tiny casket pendants, this 90’s Goth coffee shop has unique name for a tea-holy water.

3. The Note Coffee (sticky note interior)

Every surface at this cafe is adorned with colorful sticky notes filled with inspiring and funny messages from travelers. From the floors to the tables and chairs, the whole interior is covered, creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere. Visitors can join in the fun by adding their own notes anywhere they please, making the space truly unique. This quirky café has even caught the attention of American News Magazine Newsweek in New York City, landing a spot on their list of the world’s quirkiest coffee shops.

4. Guf ( Water table café)

This coffee shop is a hit with Gen Z and boasts a distinctive interior design. With white tiles on the floor and an industrial vibe, it’s minimalistic and neat. What sets it apart and earns it a spot on our cool café interior list is its centerpiece: a water table filled with white stones where you can enjoy your beverage or indulge in their famous Basque cheesecake.

+ one bar (but worthy!)

5. HR Giger Bar (Belly of the beast interior)

We could talk a lot about the alien interior of the bar/s. The biomechanical style as shown in the Alien films is showed in few HR Giger bars and the interior looks like a belly of the beast. Every inch of this place, even the floor, was designed by the man himself; who, we might note, took home an Oscar for Best Achievement in Visual Effects for his work on Alien. Meticulously detailed tables sit on rubber-paneled flooring engraved with his signature biomechanics patterns; paintings depicting an amalgam of body parts and dubious machines hang against black felt walls, backlit by yellow light; and a massive skeletal structure covers the vaulted ceiling.
